Hi, I’m Henri Rapp, creative director and web designer serving Pittsburgh and based in Cleveland, Ohio. My expertise lives in the nexus of creative direction, strategy, logistics, and technical execution, and that combination is the whole point. I’ve seen plenty of design firms and freelance designers skip the strategy and foundation entirely, and the result is always the same: they don’t rank, and don’t convert.
Web design became a means to get work, first as a music producer in a recording studio, and now as a production sound mixer for national commercials and television networks. Once I figured out how to make a website that actually worked for me, friends and colleagues started asking if I could build theirs too. I got hooked, and Rapp Creative Studio became the next logical step.
What I believe makes a website actually work is simple. Be obvious about what you do. Make it easy for a visitor to trust you fast. Give them a clear next step. Everything else is decoration. I’ve got no patience for agencies charging real money for generic templates and stock photography that says nothing about the business behind it.
I don’t pitch people. I have conversations, ask questions, and offer what I know whether or not it turns into work. That’s exactly how I ended up producing a Netflix comedy special end to end.
