SoundTravels.tv is Matt Vogel’s website for his work as a production sound mixer based in Chicago (and beyond).
After in-depth conversations, the goal was clear: build a content-first website that attracts high-intent search traffic and converts it into booking inquiries, all without losing the authenticity of Matt’s voice. The messaging needed to communicate the things that matter most to producers: experience, scalability, flexibility, and reliability….and to highlight his extensive experience doing travel documentary work across 75+ countries.
Working on SoundTravels.tv, I led the web design, identity system, copywriting, and SEO strategy. The copy and positioning were shaped directly from recorded calls, then translated into structured pages designed to rank, guide, and convert.
- SEO-first structure + location landing pages built to rank for high-intent searches like “Chicago production sound mixer” (and nearby markets), while giving producers a fast, credible place to vet Matt Vogel.
- DNS + infrastructure migration into my managed web hosting stack, with a CDN layer for speed and stability.
- Portfolio built as indexable case-style posts that add production context, reinforce credibility, and create long-tail SEO opportunities beyond a generic “Work” grid.
- Content-driven design, guided by copy: messaging shaped from Matt’s own words, structured for search, built to establish trust fast, and engineered to convert viewers into booking inquiries.
